Job Description

Purpose: The role, with an important Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group, a Travel Tech Company, to support our growth plans.

Expected Deliveries: To assist the Fintech/Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring strategic project development. To advise on day-to-day business decisions, review contracts from a commercial perspective, and consider the regulatory framework worldwide, providing preventive legal counsel and risk monitoring.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

1. Provide legal assistance on risks of new initiatives from a commercial and regulatory perspective; monitor new regulations affecting HBX activities.
2. Advise on daily business decisions, review contracts, focusing on regulatory compliance.
3. Coordinate with other functions (Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security) to ensure aligned advice.
4. Review and improve current workflows, designing scalable guidelines and processes with stakeholders.

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish skills are desirable.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Risk management, negotiation skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and teamwork.
• Flexibility, agility, and adaptability to change.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in similar roles, preferably as in-house counsel in a multinational, dealing with Fintech matters.
• Experience in a law firm’s Fintech department is valued.
• Law degree from a reputable institution; Master’s or specialization in Fintech Law is desirable.
• Experience in Data Protection and Legal Fintech; business proficiency in English; additional languages valued.
