JOB DESCRIPTION: Purpose

This role, with an important Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group, a Travel Tech Company, to support our growth plans. Expected deliverables include:

• Assisting the Fintech / Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring strategic project development.
• Advising the Fintech / Insurtech Team on daily business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial and regulatory perspective, providing preventive legal counsel, and monitoring legal risks.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Legal assistance: Support the Fintech / Insurtech Team on risks from new initiatives, considering commercial and regulatory aspects. Monitor new regulations and their impact on HBX activities.
2. Business advice: Guide the team on daily decisions, review contracts focusing on regulatory compliance.
3. Coordination: Work with other functions (Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security) to provide aligned advice.
4. Process improvement: Review and improve workflows, creating guidelines and scalable processes with stakeholders.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is desirable.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Risk management expertise.
• Good negotiation skills, handling difficult situations with stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to connect issues across functions.
• Team-oriented, flexible, adaptable to change.

Experience

• At least 6 years in similar roles, preferably as in-house counsel in a multinational or in a Fintech law firm.
• Experience with Fintech matters and working in multicultural environments.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a reputable institution.
• Master’s or specialization in Fintech Law is desirable.
• Experience in Legal Fintech required.
• Data Protection experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages valued.
