Formación

JOB DESCRIPTION: Purpose

This role, with a significant Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability to support the group's growth as a Travel Tech Company. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Fintech / Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring strategic project development.
  • Advising the team on day-to-day business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial and regulatory perspective, and providing preventive legal counsel.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Providing legal assistance to the Fintech / Insurtech Team on risks associated with new initiatives, monitoring relevant regulations and their impacts.
  2. Advising on daily business decisions, reviewing contracts focusing on regulatory compliance.
  3. Coordinating with other functions (Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security) to deliver aligned advice.
  4. Improving and simplifying working methods, designing guidelines, and creating scalable processes with stakeholders.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is desirable.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Risk management expertise.
  • Good negotiation skills for handling internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to connect issues across functions.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, adaptable to change.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in similar roles, particularly as in-house counsel in a multinational, dealing with Fintech matters. Experience in a law firm’s Fintech department is valued.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

  • Law degree from a reputable institution.
  • Master’s or specialization in Fintech Law is desirable.
  • Proven experience in Legal Fintech.
  • Data Protection experience is a plus.
  • Business proficiency in English; additional languages are valued.
