JOB DESCRIPTION :

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Lawyer with extensive experience in handling complex legal disputes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of contract law, liabilities, indemnities, and the legal implications of breaches and unfulfillments. The candidate should demonstrate strong critical thinking, procedural strategy, and expertise in the burden of proof and procedural techniques. This role involves supporting the corporate legal area, ensuring compliance with local corporate requirements, and serving as a liaison to the Finance, HR, Tax, and Accounting teams for questions related to drafting intragroup agreements, approving annual accounts, and reviewing financing agreements. The role also includes facilitating the operation of corporate entities individually and as a group.

The lawyer will review drafted documents, liaise with directors, external advisers, and local offices worldwide to gather input, signatures, and finalize documentation. Coordination with external company secretarial advisors and lawyers is also required.

Responsibilities :

  • Providing company secretarial support, including supporting the finance function with the approval of annual financial statements and ensuring local compliance requirements are met in each jurisdiction, as well as working on UBO filings.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, board minutes, powers of attorney, intercompany contracts and loans, share certificates/registers.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of corporate books.
  • Reviewing finance and corporate treasury contracts.
  • Collaborating with operations, business, finance, tax, legal, accounting, and compliance teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Communicating daily with external advisors.
  • Supporting internal departments by managing outside counsel and external resources effectively.
  • Assisting with KYC requirements and gathering signatures for documents.
  • Handling general administration tasks such as organizing secretarial data, preparing spreadsheets, booking couriers, and obtaining signatures.

Skills :

  • Experience working in large organizations.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Accountability and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English at all levels.
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in litigation and dispute resolution in a large law firm.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a practicing member of the Bar Association for at least 3-4 years.
