• Experience in a multinational, multicultural environment; law firm Fintech department experience is valued.

• Providing legal assistance on risks related to new initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Purpose :

The role, with an important Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group to support our growth plans. Expected deliveries include:

• Assisting the Fintech / Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring strategic project development.
• Advising the team on daily business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial and regulatory perspective, and providing preventive legal counsel.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities :

• Providing legal assistance on risks related to new initiatives, monitoring regulatory changes impacting HBX.
• Advising on business decisions, reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with worldwide regulations.
• Coordinating with other functions (Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security) for aligned advice.
• Reviewing and improving current processes, guidelines, and protocols to adapt to HBX’s fast-paced environment.

Skills :

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is desirable.
• Organizational and analytical skills, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Risk management, negotiation skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and the ability to connect issues across functions.
• Flexibility, agility, and adaptability to change.

Experience :

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in similar roles or as in-house counsel dealing with Fintech matters.
• Experience in a multinational, multicultural environment; law firm Fintech department experience is valued.

Qualifications :

• Law degree from a reputable institution; Master or specialization in Fintech Law is desirable.
• Experience in Legal Fintech; Data Protection experience is desirable.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
