JOB DESCRIPTION: Purpose :

This role, with an important Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group as a Travel Tech Company, to support our growth plans. The role involves assisting the Fintech / Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring strategic project development. It also includes advising on day-to-day business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective, considering the global regulatory framework, providing preventive legal counsel, and monitoring legal risks.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Legal assistance: Support the Fintech / Insurtech Team on risks related to new initiatives, monitoring regulations impacting HBX activities.
2. Business advice: Guide the team on daily decisions, review contracts focusing on regulatory compliance, and provide preventive legal counsel.
3. Coordination: Collaborate with Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security, and other functions to provide aligned advice.
4. Process improvement: Review and optimize current workflows, develop guidelines, and scalable protocols with stakeholders.

Skills : Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus. Strong organizational, analytical, and risk management skills. Negotiation skills, attention to detail, autonomy, cross-functional connectivity, teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability are essential.

Experience : At least 6 years in similar roles, with experience as in-house counsel in a multinational, dealing with Fintech. Experience in Fintech law firms or multicultural environments is valued.

Qualifications : Law degree from a reputable institution; specialization in Fintech Law is desirable. Experience in Legal Fintech and Data Protection is a plus.
