JOB DESCRIPTION : Purpose :

This role, with an important Fintech component, is a key part of the Legal team, managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group as a Travel Tech Company, to support our growth plans. Expected deliveries :

• Assist the Fintech / Insurtech Team with the setup and implementation of initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring effective development of strategic projects.
• Advise the Fintech / Insurtech Team on daily business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective and considering global regulatory frameworks, providing preventive legal counsel, and advising on legal risks.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide legal assistance to the Fintech / Insurtech Team regarding risks of new initiatives from a commercial and regulatory perspective. Monitor new regulations and their impact on HBX activities.
• Advise on daily business decisions, review contracts, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with other functions (e.g., Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security) to deliver aligned advice.
• Review and improve current workflows, aligning with HBX’s fast-paced environment by designing scalable guidelines and processes with relevant stakeholders.

Skills :

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is desirable.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Good negotiation skills for handling internal and external stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to connect issues across functions.
• Team player with flexibility and adaptability to change.

Experience :

• At least 6 years’ experience in similar roles, including in-house counsel in a multinational and dealing with Fintech matters. Experience in a Fintech law firm is valued.
• Experience working in multicultural environments.

Qualifications :

• Law degree from a reputable institution.
• Master or specialization in Fintech Law is desirable.
• Experience in Legal Fintech is required.
• Data Protection experience is desirable.
• Proficiency in English at a business level is required; additional languages are a plus.
