We seek a Senior / Lead DevOps Specialist to join our team, focusing on improving and maintaining our IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, purchase, and maintain infrastructure hardware and services (Hetzner, Amazon, Google Cloud, LeaderGPU).
- Research and test new solutions (e.g., TiDB, Kafka, Hadoop).
- Launch, maintain, and monitor infrastructure components:
- Front-end, load balancing, mirrors, CDN, DNS (nginx, haproxy, powerdns).
- Application servers (PHP).
- Container orchestration (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
- Monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Proteus, Loki).
- Caching and queue servers (Redis, Hazelcast, RabbitMQ).
- Manage multiple data centers worldwide.
- Maintain internal services/servers (VPN, analytics, mailing).
- Work with virtual and dedicated servers.
- Program infrastructure using Python; understand server and service code to architect solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement best practices in security, performance, and maintainability.
- Manage and mentor the infrastructure team, improve workflows, and participate in proactive infrastructure management.
Required knowledge:
- Strong programming skills, ideally with experience as a software engineer (Java, Python).
- Deep expertise in Linux administration (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS), networking, and security.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration/scaling.
- Experience with on-premise infrastructure, server clusters, databases, caching, and networking.
- Familiarity with databases (MariaDB, MongoDB), message brokers, load balancers, servers used in production stacks.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Kubernetes).
- Monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki).
- Strong engineering mindset to bridge development and infrastructure needs, with the ability to learn new technologies.
- Experience in mentoring, process improvement, and proactive infrastructure management, with potential to grow into a Team Lead role.
