Formación

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry preferred; graduates encouraged to apply.

The role
ALS Geochemistry in Malaga is seeking Senior Laboratory Assistants to join our Spectroscopy team, which is committed to exceeding customer expectations by delivering high-quality results on time.

This is a full-time position, where you will be primarily responsible for the operation and calibration of ICPMS, ICPOES and/or AAS instrumentation.

The role will initially be on day shift during the training period; however, the successful candidate is expected to be available for a weekly rotating roster that includes day and afternoon shifts, as well as occasional weekend work.

The day to day:
The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties, including the following:

  • Analysis of samples using ICPMS, ICPOES and/or AAS instrumentation.
  • Perform instrument/equipment calibration and maintenance as required
  • Troubleshooting of instrument and quality issues
  • Calibration of standards and instrument QC solutions
  • Reviewing QC and data results
  • Ensuring that client turnaround times are met
  • Once training is complete, be able to work autonomously
  • Other duties as the role progresses
