HCLTech in Galicia, Spain is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to design and develop robust backend solutions for omnichannel commerce. You will build Java microservices, implement integrations with OMS and retail platforms, and ensure scalable, reliable deployments in a modern cloud environment.

You will work with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with QA to enhance testing strategies. Strong experience with Java 21, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenAPI is required; Fluency in

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Software Engineer.
• Expertise in Java 21 and Spring ecosystem (Boot, Data JPA, Hibernate, Cloud).
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with OMS/Fluent Commerce and omni-retail processes.
• RESTful API design with OpenAPI/Swagger; JSON/XML knowledge.
• Databases: MySQL and MongoDB; cloud-native environments.
• CI/CD using GitLab; Docker/Kubernetes on cloud platforms.
• Security: OAuth2/OIDC, IAM (Keycloak/Okta).
• Strong tooling: IntelliJ, SonarQube, Datadog; Jira/Confluence.
• English fluency; additional languages a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse requirements and design robust backend solutions for omni-channel retail.
• Develop, test, and deploy Java microservices with scalability and reliability.
• Integrate with OMS and retail platforms for order orchestration and fulfillment.
• Maintain existing services, improve code quality and performance.
• Collaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Partner with QA to support testing strategies and automation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to product improvements.
