Senior Java Developer (Kafka) - Remote

What we are looking for:

We seek a Senior Java Developer to manage the SDLC, from planning and prioritizing to testing and rapid delivery.

This is a 100% remote position for residents of Spain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Join an Agile Scrum team responsible for the organization's BaaS APIs, building APIs capable of handling thousands of requests per second reliably and efficiently.
• Work with a modern tech stack including Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met.
• Engage in continuous learning and collaboration within a technology-driven environment.

Mandatory requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Java (8 or higher) and a solid understanding of its ecosystems.
• Experience with enterprise frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, TDD, and BDD.
• Ability to develop autonomous, service-oriented RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Nice to have:

• Experience with event-driven architectures or messaging solutions like Kafka.
• Knowledge of core banking processes, such as customer and product information.
