We are looking for a seasoned and dynamic Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert legal support across our international operations. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our contracting processes, from drafting and reviewing commercial agreements to negotiating key deals involving raw materials sourcing, professional services, distribution, and sales. Beyond contracts, you'll be a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, offering strategic guidance on a wide array of legal matters, including dispute settlements, competition law, and employment law.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of diverse commercial agreements, including purchasing, contract manufacturing, product development, and Corporate IT service agreements.
  2. Partner with Corporate Procurement to support the full supplier lifecycle, from RFI / RFP processes to agreement terminations, ensuring robust legal and business compliance.
  3. Provide legal counsel across Global Operations, including Planning, Customs, Trade, Logistics, Marketing, R&D, and Sales, while advising on disputes and settlements with suppliers and B2B customers.
  4. Develop and implement contract templates, processes, and training programs to enhance efficiency and compliance within the organization.
  5. Offer strategic guidance on competition law and conduct legal research to stay current with best practices, regulations, and emerging industry trends.
  6. Advise HR and management on employment laws, draft and revise policies, and support employee relations, including disputes, disciplinary matters, and sensitive terminations.
  7. Collaborate with internal clients and external counsel to manage litigation and provide expert advice on employment-related contracts, compliance, and dispute resolution.

Your Profile

  1. University degree in Law from a reputable university in the EU, Switzerland, or the UK; additional advanced studies (e.g., LLM or CAS) in business law and / or any related fields are a plus.
  2. Qualified attorney with bar admission in at least one jurisdiction; additional bar qualifications are advantageous.
  3. Good knowledge of Swiss and German employment law is a strong plus; familiarity with UK or French employment law is a nice to have.
  4. Minimum of 8 years' experience in a law firm and in-house role within a multinational company, preferably in the med tech, high tech, or life sciences sector.
  5. Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, as well as providing strategic advice on a broad range of legal matters.
  6. Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal issues and offer practical, business-oriented solutions.
  7. Tech-savvy with experience using the latest MS Office Suite.
  8. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German is highly desirable, while French and / or any other languages are a plus.
