What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join a project for a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts.

100% REMOTE, open to candidates located in Spain,

fluent English for effective collaboration with international teams.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and high-quality software.
• Embrace the DevOps mindset: 'you build it, you own it, you run it', ensuring reliable and seamless software maintenance.
• Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle, including occasional QA and peer review.
• Align with the objectives and vision set by Product Management.

What do we expect from you?

• Strong Java programming skills and experience in building APIs.
• Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID).
• Experience with various testing types: Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Load Testing.
• Experience with distributed architectures like SOA or MSA.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Relevant experience with AWS services.
• Experience with Gradle or Maven.
• Experience with Enterprise Jenkins.
• Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).

Nice to have:

• Experience in the banking sector.
• Experience with Docker.
• AWS certifications.
• Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate).
• Experience with TDD and BDD.
