Senior Java Developer / Application Support Engineer

Department: 507 Product and Technology Production Support

Location: Remote, Spain

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Customer Production Support team. You will be responsible for providing application support and back-end development services to ensure that our systems are running smoothly, optimized, and meet customer requirements.

This is a full-time position dedicated to one customer. You will be a part of a team that is committed to delivering high-quality services and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient application support and back-end development services to ensure smooth operations and optimization of our systems
  • Monitor and analyze logs to detect and resolve issues proactively
  • Work closely with the development team to resolve defects, customer enhancements, and updates to meet customer requirements
  • Respond to submitted customer tickets and provide timely and effective solutions
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of tasks
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to the systems supported
  • Actively participate during Scrum ceremonies: planning, backlog refinement, daily calls, and retrospective meetings
  • Contribute to the overall team success during all phases of the software development life cycle
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • 2+ years of experience in application support, back-end development, or related fields
  • Knowledge of Java Core, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Unit testing, JSF, Spring Webflow, Liquibase, Git or Mercurial, and Maven
  • Experience working with REST API and knowledge of HTTP protocol
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones, incl. USA
  • Understanding of Jenkins

The following skills would be a plus:

  • Familiarity with monitoring and log analysis tools (e.g. Nagios, Splunk, ELK Stack, etc.)
