UST España & Latam is looking for Java Engineers for a 100% remote role based in Spain. Candidates will contribute to projects for a global leader in credit services. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining reliable software, and participation in all Software Development Life Cycle stages. Ideal candidates possess strong Java and API skills, solid understanding of design patterns, and experience with various testing types. What we are looking for

We are looking for Java Engineers who will contribute to a project with one of our global customers, that is a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking and saving accounts.

This 100% remote position is open to candidates located in Spain, requiring fluent English for effective collaboration with international teams.

Main tasks and accountabilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software
• As part of the DevOps model you build it, you own it and you run it, ensure stable and smooth maintenance of delivered software
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Participate in complete Software Development Life Cycle, including occasional QA and peer review
• Work to achieve the goals and vision articulated by Product Management

What we expect from you

• Very strong Java programming skills and knowledge of building API’s
• Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle
• Deep understanding of design patterns and principles (e.g. SOLID principles)
• Experience with different testing types: Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Load Testing
• Experience with distributed architectures like SOA or MSA
• Experience with event-driven architectures
• Experience with REST APIs
• Relevant experience with AWS services
• Experience with Gradle or Maven
• Experience with Enterprise Jenkins
• Experience working in an Agile fashion (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)
• Good English level (C1) you will be working with international teams.
• Willing to be on call (one week on call approximately every six weeks)
