EPAM Systems in Madrid is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement high-performance Java backend solutions for post-trade processing systems used by global financial institutions. The role is hybrid in Madrid.

You will translate complex business and regulatory requirements into secure, scalable software while complying with industry standards. You’ll work on cutting-edge trading infrastructure powering real-time post-trade processes worldwide.

Formación

• 10+ years of experience in high-performance Java applications.
• Strong Spring Boot expertise and SQL/Hibernate mastery.
• Experience with large-scale event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
• Knowledge of security and regulatory governance in financial systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop Java-based backend solutions for post-trade processing systems
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into secure and scalable solutions
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external financial regulations
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity for high-volume transactions
• Work within agile frameworks (SCRUM/SAFe) in collaboration with developers, testers and business stakeholders
• Contribute to the reliability and stability of mission-critical systems used by leading financial institutions
• Support system integration and event-driven architecture for seamless messaging between components
• Participate in code reviews and apply development best practices for maintainability and performance
