Job summary

UST España & Latam is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile team in Madrid. You will own the full software lifecycle, building scalable backend services and modern frontend apps, and collaborating with architects and business stakeholders.

The role requires 7+ years in Java and 3+ years in Full Stack, with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST, Oracle SQL, React/Angular, and TypeScript. Hybrid work in Madrid is offered, with onsite and remote days.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• 3+ years of experience in Full Stack development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle SQL, React and/or Angular, TypeScript.
• Experience delivering solutions using TDD, BDD, and automated testing practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps principles.
• Proven experience within banking or financial services environments.
• Strong understanding of Client Pricing processes and Core Banking Systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the full software delivery lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, release, and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with business and technology teams to transform requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and build scalable backend services and modern frontend applications.
• Work alongside Solution Architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Contribute to internal engineering communities and mentor peers.
• Drive quality through automated testing, CI/CD, and agile delivery practices.
