SIX Group Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Madrid who can work in a hybrid setup, with up to 40% remote work. You will design, build, and operate robust backend services in a fast-paced post-trading environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient Java backend development with modern design principles.
• Experience building microservices with Spring/Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with Kafka or equivalent event streaming technologies.
• Designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Build and operate event-driven services using Apache Kafka.
• Develop and maintain applications running on Java application servers such as WildFly.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on system design and improvements.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems.
