HCLTech in Madrid is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and deploy robust backend solutions for omnichannel commerce. You will work on microservices using Java 21 and Spring, integrate with OMS and Fluent Commerce, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable order management workflows.

The role involves building RESTful APIs, modern cloud-native stacks, and participating in Agile ceremonies within a multinational environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Software Engineer with strong Java 21 and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience developing microservices-based solutions using event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Fluent Commerce for omni-retail.
• Strong RESTful API design in OpenAPI/Swagger; JSON/XML/GraphQL handling.
• Experience building omni-retail and e-commerce workflows (order lifecycle, inventory, fulfilment, returns, payments).
• Proficiency with MySQL and MongoDB.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD (GitLab).
• Experience with event messaging systems (AWS SQS, Pub/Sub).
• Security expertise: OAuth2, OIDC, Keycloak/Okta.
• Familiarity with Atlassian toolchain and modern dev/testing tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze requirements to design robust backend solutions for omni-channel retail and order management.
• Develop, test, and deploy Java-based microservices ensuring scalability and performance.
• Integrate with OMS and retail platforms across key flows like orchestration, fulfillment, and payments.
• Maintain and improve existing services for high quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot defects and integration issues; resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Support to resolve production incidents in omni-retail services.
• Work with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Review specifications and translate into scalable solutions; support automated testing.
• Collaborate with QA to support testing strategies and automation.
• Contribute to product/service improvements through technical enhancements and optimizations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional teamwork.
