Senior Java Backend Developer (100% remote)

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join one of our client's agile eCommerce teams. The ideal candidate is experienced in building scalable backend systems using modern Java technologies and cloud-native tools. This role is fully remote and involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams in a large-scale, matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Spring Boot and Java 17.
• Implement and manage containerized applications with Docker.
• Deploy and support services in cloud environments, primarily AWS.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure CI / CD pipelines and deployment processes are reliable and efficient.
• Write clean, testable, and scalable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions within the development team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development tools, processes, and practices.
• 3+ years of experience as a backend developer.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience working in large, matrixed enterprise environments.

Valuable Skills

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Previous experience in the eCommerce sector.
• Exposure to DevOps best practices and automation.

Languages

English is a must.
