dLocal is seeking a Staff Engineer for the Payments Performance team in Madrid to design and evolve systems powering payment routing, fraud prevention, and anomaly detection, balancing performance, cost, and compliance.

You will work with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance Java applications, lead architectural decisions, and mentor engineers in a publicly visible, fast-growing fintech environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science.
• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong Java application development and software architecture.
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• Knowledge of OO design patterns and principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Proficient English, upper-intermediate level.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with technology leaders to translate goals into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
• Lead technical architecture and design of Java projects for scalability.
• Create scalable architecture systems for Java-based applications.
• Optimize performance through code and database optimizations.
• Troubleshoot design flaws and bottlenecks to improve stability.
• Conduct validation and performance tests to ensure scalability.
• Perform code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
