Senior IT Cloud Architect

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation outlining the structure and components of cloud solutions.
• Develop and refine the organization's overall cloud strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud solutions based on technical requirements and cost considerations.
• Implement cost-effective solutions and monitor cloud usage to optimize resource allocation.
• Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and budget management.
• Ensure that cloud architectures adhere to security best practices and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures for data protection and access control.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences to articulate cloud solutions and their benefits.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in cloud services.
• Continuously update skills and certifications to maintain expertise in cloud architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical requirements and propose effective solutions.
• Work closely with engineering and product teams within an Agile framework.
• Act as a mentor to junior members of the team.

Requirements

• Higher education or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience of 8 years or more in IT, focusing on cloud architecture and design.
• Experience in similar roles or positions related to the job description.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Ability to operate in complex technical environments.
• Focus on increasing user satisfaction, problem solving, and proactive technical solutions improvements.
• Advanced English is a must; other international languages are desired.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, showing personal responsibility and initiative.
