Responsibilities

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Infrastructure Engineer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building a high-performance queuing/storage engine. You will work in a polyglot environment where you can learn new languages and technologies while collaborating with an enthusiastic team. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems to ensure high availability and performance
• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Evaluating and proposing improvements to existing systems
• Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
• Maintaining and evolving application cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Maintaining and evolving Kubernetes clusters
• Infrastructure hardening according to compliance and security requirements
• Developing and maintaining monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions

Requirements

Qualifications, experience, and technical skills include:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of industry experience
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with Terraform, Docker
• A hands-on approach to implementing solutions
• Good understanding of Linux networking and security
• Exceptional understanding of Kubernetes concepts
• Experience with Golang, Python, Java, Ruby, and databases such as PostgreSQL
• Contributions to open source projects are a plus
