Job Description

To work within the IT infrastructure engineering team, contributing to the development and implementation of information service and technology solutions used by the company at large.

To lead efforts by the security operations team in mitigating security risks and issues.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and implement IS&T solutions and changes in collaboration with team members and internal stakeholders, covering technical and operational aspects.
• Participate in security operations management across various estates, including tracking and reporting vulnerabilities, working with info-sec and governance owners to define and monitor security risks, and undertaking initiatives to reduce technology-related risks.

Qualifications

Core Expertise and Skills

• Security engineering, including firewall configuration and vulnerability remediation.
• Stewardship of third-party penetration testing and analysis of results.
• Identity management and access control solutions (IAM, RBAC, ABAC) such as Sailpoint ID now, Okta.
• Public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Private cloud (VCD) and hypervisors (Vmware stack).
• Networking (L2, L3), including routing protocols, OSI model, VPNs (IPSEC, SSL), TCP/IP suite (DNS, DHCP, TLS), CDNs, NAT, reverse proxying.
• Windows operating systems.
• Experience working in large enterprise ITSM environments.
• Experience in delivery assurance, agile and waterfall processes.
• Experience working with outsourced services and multiple partners.
• Change and release management experience.
• Working within risk-managed / ISMS environments.
• Automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Rundeck, Ansible).
• Backup, recovery, and replication technologies (e.g., Comvault, Veeam, Zerto).
• Understanding of business continuity practices.
• Experience with ESD / patch management tools (Microsoft SCCM, Avanti).
• Report and MI generation for executive decision-making.
• Effective communication skills and high-level technical English fluency.

Beneficial Skills

• ITIL certification (v3 or v4).
• Database administration (SQL Server, PaaS).
• Participation in pre-sales technical consultancy.
• Supporting SaaS / PaaS solutions and third-line engineering support.
• Knowledge of service/site reliability and fault domain design.
