Senior Information Security Engineer (Python) - Remote, remoto

This position is with UST, a multinational company based in North America, with over 35,000 employees worldwide. We are seeking a talented Security Engineer specializing in Python and security automation to join our Information Security team. The role is 100% remote for candidates in Spain.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain security automation scripts and tools using Python.
2. Integrate security tools to automate processes and workflows.
3. Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analysis.
4. Monitor security systems and automate incident response.
5. Collaborate with teams to design security controls.
6. Stay updated with security trends and technologies.
7. Develop APIs for security tools integration.
8. Build and edit automation with high reliability and efficiency.
9. Implement and manage SOAR platforms (e.g., Cortex XSOAR, Splunk Phantom).
10. Utilize Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and create Kusto Query Language (KQL) queries.
11. Document security procedures and processes.
12. Automate CI/CD pipelines and manage infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform or Ansible.

Mandatory Requirements:

• At least 4 years of Python programming experience, especially in automation scripts.
• Proven experience as a Security Engineer focusing on Python and automation.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and scanners.
• Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• API development and integration skills.
• Experience with SOAR platforms and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
• Proficiency in KQL and IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevSecOps practices.
• Understanding of network protocols and security architectures.
