Job summary

Sanofi in Barcelona is seeking an Incident Management Reliability Engineer to safeguard critical IT services across a global biopharma environment. You will lead Major Incidents, champion incident response, and apply reliability engineering to minimize disruptions and accelerate recovery.

You'll work within the Service Quality team, collaborating with IT, security, and business partners in a hybrid Barcelona-based setup, driving continuous improvement with ITIL/SRE practices and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in incident management or reliability engineering.
• Strong foundation in networking and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Familiarity with ITIL v4 or crisis leadership training is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of Major Incidents (P1/P2) with clear stakeholder communication.
• Act as command centre lead during critical outages, coordinating across teams.
• Maintain detailed incident documentation: root cause, timeline, resolution steps.
• Drive post-incident reviews and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure ITSM processes, escalation, and risk controls are followed.
• Provide technical leadership and guide cross-functional troubleshooting during high-severity outages.
• Apply a structured, data-driven approach with AIOps to restore service quickly.
