Centre People Appointments is seeking a Senior HR Advisor in Barcelona to act as the local HR expert for an international fashion brand. You will support employee relations, payroll, benefits, and compliance with Spanish law, while collaborating with regional HR teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HR operations experience, strong knowledge of Spanish employment regulations, and fluent English and Spanish communication skills.

Formación

• Degree in HR or related field; professional HR qualification preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in HR generalist or HR operations roles.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish employment law, labour regulations, and HR compliance.
• Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration.

Responsabilidades

• Provide expert guidance on Spanish employment legislation, labour regulations, and HR compliance matters
• Support employee relations including disciplinary processes, grievances, investigations, and workplace matters
• Manage employee lifecycle administration including contracts, employee changes, transfers, promotions, and offboarding
• Manage payroll inputs, payroll validation, reconciliation, and employee payroll enquiries
• Administer employee benefit programmes and coordinate with benefit providers and brokers
• Ensure compliance with statutory HR requirements including employment documentation, registrations, social insurance, and reporting
• Support HR audits, regulatory reviews, and communication with external authorities
• Partner with business leaders, regional HR teams, Legal, Finance, and external providers on HR initiatives

Senior HR Advisor

International Fashion Brand / HR Operations / Barcelona -

A global Japanese fashion brand is currently recruiting a Senior HR Advisor to join its EMEA HR team in Barcelona.

The Senior HR Advisor will act as the local HR subject matter expert, supporting employee relations, HR administration, payroll, benefits, and compliance with local employment legislation. The role will serve as a key link between employees, managers, external partners, and regional HR teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong HR operations experience, deep knowledge of Spanish employment law, and the ability to support a fast-paced international environment.

Main Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in HR or related field; professional HR qualification preferred
• 5+ years' experience in HR generalist or HR operations roles
• Strong knowledge of Spanish employment law, labour regulations, and HR compliance
• Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration
• Experience working in a multinational environment preferred
• Experience in retail, fashion, apparel, footwear, or cosmetics industries is advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Fluent English and Spanish communication skills

Conditions

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Working Style: Hybrid (50%)

Salary: €60,000 per annum depending on experience + 10% bonus

Job Type: permanent, full-time

Working Hours: TBC

Start: negotiable
