A leading company is seeking a Senior HR Manager to oversee HR operations across Spain and Portugal. The role involves strategic leadership, compliance with local labor laws, and fostering a positive work culture. Ideal candidates will possess extensive HR management experience in a dynamic environment, with strong interpersonal skills and fluency in Spanish and English.
The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all HR operations across Spain and Portugal, ensuring alignment between local HR strategies and JBT Marel’s global objectives. This strategic role combines leadership and execution, and plays a critical part in developing people capabilities, cultivating a positive work culture, and supporting business performance in a dynamic, manufacturing-focused environment.
Serve as the primary HR business partner for directors, managers, and employees in Spain and Portugal.
Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local works councils, managing dialogue and agreements.
Lead and support all core HR functions, including:
Labor Relations
Talent Acquisition & Talent Management
Learning & Development
Payroll and HR Operations
Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, negotiations, warnings, and terminations, ensuring full compliance with Spanish and Portuguese labor laws and GDPR.
Partner closely with Corporate Headquarters to roll out and localize global HR programs and initiatives.
Provide hands-on HR leadership, balancing strategic thinking with daily HR execution.
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related HR field.
8–10 years of progressive experience in HR management roles, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle HR processes in a fast-paced, international environment.
Deep understanding of labor law and HR compliance requirements in Spain and Portugal.
Ability to lead with influence while remaining hands-on in operational HR matters.
Experience working with or within a Shared Services Center is a plus.
Strong communication, mediation, and negotiation skills.
Fluency in Spanish and English is required; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
