Formación

• 8+ años de experiencia en diseño de hospitalidad en todas las fases del proceso.

At this moment, we are looking to fill the position of a Senior Hospitality Architect in our Barcelona office, with extensive project experience in hospitality design, to work closely with the Partners, Project Leadership, and a group of +70 fantastic BIGsters.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work closely with and report to the Project Manager and/or Partners, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Mentor and manage junior team members, providing guidance and support.
• Develop comprehensive drawing sets from conceptualization through to construction documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
• Generate detailed 3D models to enhance the design process and help visualize and communicate project concepts effectively.
• Apply technical detailing and construction administration expertise to creatively resolve design challenges, ensuring alignment with project budgets and design principles.
• Demonstrate proficiency in preparing, refining, and editing drawings and models in line with project specifications and requirements.
• Leverage strong conceptual and design skills to infuse projects with aesthetic flair and innovation, delivering solutions that exceed client expectations.
• Effectively communicate, coordinate, and manage relationships with consultants, contractors, clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Produce deliverables that meet BIG's standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in all project outputs, and following direction from the Project Manager/Architect and Partner in charge.

Essential skills:

• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both spoken and written English and Spanish.
• Proven experience working with international hotel operators, demonstrating an understanding of brand requirements.
• Ability to enhance projects in terms of hospitality efficiency, functionality, and programming.
• Demonstrated expertise in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) and OS&E (Operating Supplies and Equipment) schedules and specifications.
• Experience with IFT (Issue for Tender) and IFC (Issue for Construction) package preparation.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe Suite; familiarity with Grasshopper and V-Ray is advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of products, materials, zoning/building codes and construction methods.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines on budget and on time.
• A keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction from project managers and partners.
• A team player, with a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and collaborating.

Experience and qualifications:

• Professional qualification as an Architect or an equivalent overseas qualification.
• 8+ years of professional experience in hospitality design, in all phases of the design process: conceptual, detail and design development and construction documents.
• Experience in the Mediterranean area is preferred.
