Swiss Re is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate core Golang services powering enterprise IT. You will connect configuration and asset data across multi‑cloud environments and contribute to AI‑driven PoCs while collaborating with product teams.

You’ll own backend delivery, ensure system resilience, and participate in selective frontend work to enable end‑to‑end delivery. The role emphasizes maintainability and pragmatic engineering.

Formación

• 3+ years' experience programming with Golang.
• 8+ years' experience with modern programming languages.
• Ownership mindset and strong delivery focus.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, database modeling, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Angular 2+ and Node.js frontend development.
• Experience with microservices, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop robust backend services using Golang.
• Architect and maintain a Federated API across on‑premise and multi‑cloud setups.
• Optimize CMDB databases and integrate with corporate processes.
• Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines with automated tests.
• Implement Docker-based containerization and manage Kubernetes deployments.
• Monitor performance with Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Work with ETL processes and complex SQL operations.
• Explore AI technologies and PoCs to enhance capabilities.
• Communicate complex topics clearly and share knowledge across teams.
