Swiss Re in Madrid is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer to design and develop cloud-native software solutions for Life & Health clients. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to translate business needs into robust technological solutions aligned with the product roadmap.

You will lead design discussions, review peers, and drive SDLC processes, while leveraging PoCs to demonstrate new approaches and ensure high-quality, scalable services.

Formación

• Strong hands-on coding with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot (Security, interceptors, async jobs).
• Relational DBs (MSSQL, PostgreSQL), Flyway for schema versioning, ORM (Hibernate/JPA).
• API design and cross-service communication (REST, messaging, JSON).
• CI/CD, containerization and deployment using Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS.
• Secure software design and coding, including static analysis and vulnerability remediation.
• Cloud-native apps: infrastructure, networking, security, and provisioning.
• IaC/Terraform, OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, logging, metrics, tracing.
• End-to-end SDLC delivery with architecture documentation and coaching.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop back-end software in cloud-based environments at scale.
• Maintain performance, scalability, and security for client applications.
• Participate in design workshops and review sessions with engineers and architects.
• Lead PoC work with prototyping approaches and new technologies.
• Collaborate to ensure software engineering best practices are followed.
