Swiss Re is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer in Madrid to design, build and operate core services powering our enterprise IT ecosystem. You will lead backend development with Golang, implement RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines, and support AI-enabled PoCs in collaboration with product teams.

You will work on the Federated API, CMDB integrations, and scalable data processing with SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms. Strong English required; on-site in Madrid.

Formación

• Proven 3+ years programming with Golang.
• 8+ years experience with modern programming languages.
• Strong ownership mindset and delivery excellence.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, database modeling, and optimization techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop robust backend services using Golang.
• Architect and maintain Federated API connecting configuration and asset information across on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
• Optimize CMDB database systems and ensure seamless integration with corporate processes.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and CI/CD pipelines with automated testing.
• Implement containerization using Docker and orchestrate deployments in Kubernetes environments.
• Monitor and analyse application performance using Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Transform and integrate data using ETL practices and complex SQL operations.
• Explore AI technologies and intelligent systems, including generative models and agents.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and document knowledge for team growth.
