Job Description

The Senior Global Launch Manager is responsible for leading, optimizing, and continuously improving the end-to-end Global Launch management process for Galderma dermatological products. On top of the successful execution of the product launches, the Senior Global Launch Manager drives strategic development and process enhancements in alignment with the Global Supply Chain strategy. The Senior Global Launch Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, and proactively identifies opportunities to refine the product portfolio and improve overall launch efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Launch Planning & Execution:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive global launch plans, defining key milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination across R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure smooth product introductions.
  • Adapt global launch strategies to local market requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory constraints.
  • Collaborate within Operations, R&D, GPS and Commercial teams to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure clear communication and alignment between global and regional teams throughout the launch process.
  • Launch Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate launch success and identify areas for improvement.
    • Conduct post-launch evaluations, capturing lessons learned and best practices for future launches.
    • Provide regular status updates to leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency in launch progress and performance.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure all product launches comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and market-specific requirements.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of launch activities, approvals, and timelines for tracking and auditing purposes.
  • Portfolio & Process Optimization:
    • Review the existing product portfolio to assess performance and identify products that do not generate the required business benefits.
    • Recommend discontinuation or adjustments for underperforming products based on data-driven insights.
  • Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful collaboration and execution.
    • Work effectively within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team, ensuring mutual support and effective cooperation on product launch initiatives.
    • Act as an advisor within the Launch Management team, providing guidance and knowledge-sharing when needed.
  • Continuous Improvement & Strategic Development:
    • Continuously enhance launch processes, leveraging best practices and new methodologies to optimize efficiency.
    • Develop and drive process improvements in line with the overall Global Supply Chain strategy.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation in launch management, ensuring adaptability to changing business and market needs.
    • Act as a key partner in shaping long-term launch strategies, supporting business growth and operational excellence.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Supply Chain, Operations Project Management); Master’s degree preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience in product launch management, preferably within the dermatological or pharmaceutical industry. (A MUST)
    • Proven leadership experience in managing complex global launches and cross-functional teams.
    • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic plans for product development, launch, or life cycle management.
    • Strong strategic thinking and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with business objectives.
    • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple launches simultaneously.
