Formación

Gameloft Barcelona, the studio behind the mobile gaming hits Despicable Me: Minion Rush, Asphalt 8, Asphalt 9 and Disney SpeedStorm is hiring!

Our Barcelona studio is looking for a Senior Game Designer with extensive experience in Gameplay Systems design:

Responsibilities:

1. Design fun and immersive gameplay mechanics, following briefings. Taking care of all aspects of game design: prototyping these mechanics, documenting, implementing in game and fine-tuning them.
2. Overall work in creative, benchmarking, documentation and analyzing tasks.
3. Follow-up, maintenance and continuous improvement of assigned features.
4. Team coordination: coordinating with art and development teams assigned to the project with the associated producer.

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. Strong knowledge of Game Design basic rules (3Cs, gameplay systems, learning curve, difficulty balancing, progression balancing, UI, accessibility…)
2. Proven experience (3+ years) in gameplay-related designs.
3. Proven experience in a senior design role.
4. Able to convey ideas concisely as part of a detailed analysis, and to clearly formalize complex concepts and ideas.
5. Able to illustrate and/or prototype your ideas visually using standard industry production tools (Photoshop, PowerPoint, Figma, Confluence, Sketch-up, 3D Studio Max, Unity, etc.).
6. Good documentation skills.
7. Passion for creating video games.
8. Knowledge of classic console and freemium mobile game market.
9. Motivation and ability to communicate as part of the project development team.
10. Able to listen to feedback from other people and constantly critique your work to achieve the best possible quality.
11. Good level of English.

1. Experience working in racing games.
2. Experience with multiplayer systems.
3. Racing fan or gamer.
4. High visual creativity.
5. UI skills.
6. Design / Composition: able to draw sketches and digitally create images or videos.
