What are we looking for?

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Senior Fullstack Engineer (with Ruby on Rails) to join our IT team as a freelancer. If you're passionate about building scalable web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and using data to drive impactful solutions, ifeel is the place for you.

Main tasks and responsibilities :

• Design and build solid, scalable, and maintainable Rails applications.
• Develop interactive, user-friendly web interfaces using React, ensuring the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure excellent test coverage and adherence to best practices.
• Create a positive environment for the team, sharing knowledge and helping the team grow.
• Collaborate with designers, team leads, and stakeholders to understand business goals, analyze requirements, and propose scalable, long-term technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing expertise and fostering continuous learning.

The Ideal candidate will have :

• At least 8 years of proven experience in a similar role.
• A focus on code quality driven by automated testing.
• Experience with GIT.
• Experience in Unit, Integration, and Acceptance testing using RSpec and Capybara.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, CloudFront, etc.).
• Experience with SaaS development and RESTful API development.
• Understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.

We would love to know more about you if you have :

• Interest in psychology and mental health.
• Fluency in English and native Spanish.
• Experience with async tasks with Sidekiq.
• Solid understanding of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with CI / CD tools like Capistrano, GitHub Actions, etc.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Great independence and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Analytical skills and direct client contact experience.
• Experience with monitoring / logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Sentry, New Relic).
