Sopra Steria is seeking a seasoned Java/Full‑stack Developer to join a mixed agile team in Barcelona. You will analyze and implement technical requirements, design scalable software, and contribute to architectural decisions across front- and back-end systems.

The role emphasizes modern tooling, TDD, CI/CD, and cloud-native development in a dynamic, customer‑facing environment across multiple markets. You will collaborate with designers, developers and testers daily.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience with Java & React Spring Boot microservices
• Experience applying Clean Code, Clean Architecture, design patterns
• Knowledge of TDD, CI/CD in an Agile model
• Specialization in event-oriented architectures, Kafka, API optimization, or performance in high-availability environments

Responsabilidades

• Analyze requirements and problems; propose solutions and implement software
• Co-define user stories; participate in task estimation and planning
• Work in Agile SCRUM ceremonies; contribute to task estimation and planning

Our client is a leader in the insurance industry. You will be part of a mixed (client-supplier) agile team composed of designers, developers and testers, with the objective of deploying the commercial strategic platform in 28 countries around the world. The team will be based in Barcelona.

As a developer, you will be responsible for analyzing and implementing technical and functional requirements, working on improving the current software solution. You will be part of a mixed agile team composed of designers, developers and testers.

Your day-to-day functions will be:

- Analysis of requirements and problems, solution proposals and mainly software development.

-Co-define user stories and participate in task estimation and planning.

-Work in the Agile model, following SCRUM ceremonies such as participating in the definition of user stories, as well as in the estimation and planning of tasks, in addition to their development.

- Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.

- Writing clean, functional code on the front- and back-end.

- Contribute to technical and architectural decision-making.

Who you are?

-From 5 years of experience with Java & React Springboot microservices (stack: latest versions of Java & Angular, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon AWS, Git and Oracle Database)

-Must develop and provide experience using good software engineering practices: Clean Code, Clean Architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, XP techniques such as TDD, Cloud Native application environment (AWS preferably) and CI/CD in an Agile model.

-It will be validated that you have specialization in one of the areas such as event-oriented architectures and Kafka, or API optimization, or application performance in high availability environments or load/stress tests.
