Role Overview

THE STACK

Our frontend is a single-page application, built with a mix of ES6 and TypeScript, as well as React. Further technologies we use are react-query, styled components, jest, and react-testing-library. On the backend, we use Ruby on Rails, Postgres, and Redis. Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS, and we have a solid CI / CD setup which allows us to spin up QA environments and deploy to production with a simple click of a button.

Key Responsibilities

THE JOB

Here is where you come in: We are looking for a Frontend Engineer (f/m/d) who enjoys creating business applications with great UX. You will work with a small but highly experienced, diverse, and fun team of engineers, designers, and product specialists. Some of the challenges you will face:

1. Ship exciting features, enriched with animations and great UX.
2. Eliminate tech debt and reduce inconsistencies. (Yes, you will get dedicated refactoring time!)
3. Work with your colleagues to improve processes, architecture, and all other aspects of your work.

You will also:

1. Have a say in which product features are developed.
2. Own projects across the whole development lifecycle.
3. Shape architectural, technical, and organizational decisions.

Requirements

1. You have demonstrated ownership and autonomy at work.
2. You have deep knowledge in developing complex user interfaces and component libraries using React.
3. You know how to leverage Copilot or other LLM-based tools to increase your productivity while controlling code quality.
4. You promote and apply software craftsmanship, clean code, and robust tests.
5. You have contributed to architectural decisions. You know how to break down a larger problem into smaller steps.
6. An intuitive understanding of good design, typography, and UX.
7. Your desire to teach and learn is bigger than your ego.
8. Excellent communication skills and fluent English. You are able to present complicated solutions to non-technical audiences in a simple and logical way.
