Job Description:

As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you’ll help us optimize our finances to enhance our customer experience and navigate the fast-changing business environment. This role is an opportunity to act as a key finance leader for a strategic program and influence our business direction. You’ll lead teams and use insights to advise senior stakeholders on strategic decisions.

Key job responsibilities

• Build financial models to inform business decisions and analyze challenges using your understanding of Amazon’s cost structure.
• Lead projects by managing timelines, priorities, and quality assurance.
• Generate insights from financial data, identify efficiency opportunities, and communicate findings to leadership for business actions.
• Manage the financial and operational planning, reporting, and create scalable processes to ensure accuracy.
• Onboard, develop, and mentor team members in financial reporting, sharing best practices.

A day in the life

The Sr. Financial Analyst will play a hands-on role to improve business performance. You’ll collaborate across departments to analyze data, manage planning processes, and guide teams on cost structures. You will also support EU teams with insights and foster collaboration.

You’ll mentor colleagues and work closely with partners to inform strategic decisions. The role is primarily based in a corporate office with potential remote work opportunities.

About the team

The Consolidation team integrates insights across European Operations, overseeing planning and ensuring alignment with operational goals. We connect different business areas and work with specialized teams to understand key metrics. If you enjoy linking business elements and driving collaboration, this team offers broad exposure to European operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• A degree in a relevant field.
• Experience leading finance projects or programs and working with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Excel, reporting tools, and data mining tools like Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau.
• Experience in financial modeling.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
• Problem-solving skills to streamline complex challenges.
• Experience working in large teams or fast-paced environments.
• Ability to make strategic decisions and manage relationships.
