DESCRIPTION

The right financial and business decisions have made Amazon what it is today. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you'll help optimize our finances to enhance customer experience and navigate a fast-changing environment. This role involves acting as a key finance leader for strategic programs, shaping our business, leading others, and providing insights to senior stakeholders to support our business ambitions.

Key job responsibilities

1. Build financial models to inform business decisions and assess challenges based on Amazon's cost structure.
2. Lead projects by managing timelines, priorities, quality audits, and resolving issues.
3. Generate insights from financial data, identify efficiency opportunities, and communicate findings to leadership to drive actions.
4. Own financial and operational planning, reporting, create scalable processes, and ensure accuracy.
5. Onboard, develop, and mentor team members in financial reporting and best practices.

A day in the life

Our Sr. Financial Analyst will actively enhance business performance and efficiency by collaborating across departments, analyzing data, managing planning processes, and guiding teams on cost structures. You will also assist other EU teams in accessing insights and fostering collaboration. Mentoring and close partnership with stakeholders will be key, with the role primarily based in a corporate office, with potential remote work.

About the team

The Consolidation team integrates the story of our European Operations, overseeing planning and ensuring alignment across business elements. We focus on understanding interconnections within the business, working with specialized teams, and communicating strategy to support operational goals. If you enjoy connecting different business parts and driving collaboration, this team offers broad exposure to European operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• A degree
• Experience leading finance projects or programs and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Proficiency with Excel, reporting tools, and data mining tools like Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau
• Experience in financial modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics
• Problem-solving experience and ability to streamline challenges
• Experience working in large, fast-paced teams or corporate environments
• Experience making strategic decisions and managing relationships
