At Quintas Energy we want to accelerate the energy transition, and we need a skilled Senior Finance and Accounting Manager for the Italian portfolio in our Seville office to help achieve this. For this role, full professional fluency in Italian and English is essential , given the nature of the portfolio and the frequent interactions with local stakeholders. Spanish is a plus .
The Senior Manager is responsible for the financial leadership of the Italian portfolio within the finance department. This position requires an experienced professional with strong technical expertise in accounting and financial management, proven leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate teams and improve internal processes across multiple client portfolios.
Responsibilities :
- Coordination and supervision of the accounting and finance team for the Italian portfolio.
- Review and control of credit management, budgets, cash flows and online payments.
- Review and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Supervision of monthly and quarterly closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Preparation and review of quarterly financial reports and consolidation under IFRS & Italian GAAP.
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts under IFRS or Italian GAAP.
- Liaison with external auditors and coordination of annual audit processes.
- Participation in the annual close procedures.
- Interaction with internal departments such as engineering, legal, specialist financial services, and with external clients and stakeholders.
- Review of associates and managers’ work under SOX matrix and attendance at operational committees when required.
- Preparation, drafting, and ongoing improvement of procedures manuals related to the clients’ portfolio.
- Review of the scope of work for Quality of Earnings (QE) and Service Level Standards (SLS).
- Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of financial procedures and internal controls.

Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance required.
- CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of demonstrable experience in financial or audit departments, with full responsibility over accounting and financial management. At least 5 of those years must include team leadership (of at least 5 people) and implementation / improvement of internal procedures in companies with annual turnover exceeding €10 million.
- Prior professional experience working with the Italian market is essential , ideally within companies managing operations, portfolios, or financial compliance in Italy.
- Proven experience in financial operations, planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Expert knowledge in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, formulas, and Pivot Tables.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of IFRS and Italian GAAP.
- Languages : Full professional fluency in Italian and English are essential . Spanish is a plus . All language skills will be assessed during the process.
