Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Marketing Manager to strategically plan, execute, and measure high-impact marketing events and initiatives designed to enhance community engagement, generate qualified leads, and amplify Ververica's brand presence. You will own our event strategy, including our flagship first-party event Flink Forward, as well as regional and virtual engagements, ensuring each delivers tangible results aligned with our growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Event Strategy and Execution : Plan, manage, and execute events where Ververica participates, including regional meetups, webinars, and other virtual and in-person events. Ensure high attendee satisfaction, engagement, and commercial impact by delivering compelling experiences aligned with our brand. Manage pre- and post-event processes, logistics, speaker management, sponsorship fulfillment, and collaborate with Sales to ensure seamless lead capture and nurturing.
• Account-Based Field Activities : Collaborate with sales and marketing to craft targeted marketing tactics for high-value accounts, such as executive dinners, VIP events, and co-branded content.
• Content and Communications : Coordinate creation and distribution of event content, including promotional materials, videos, blogs, and social media. Work with Communications and Design teams to ensure message consistency and quality.
• Performance Measurement and Optimization : Track and report key metrics like attendee satisfaction, leads, ROI, and media mentions. Refine strategies based on analytics to maximize effectiveness.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and external vendors to ensure successful event execution. Provide training and insights to internal teams for alignment and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years of field marketing or event management experience, preferably in tech
• Proven success in planning and executing large-scale conferences and regional / virtual events
• Strong analytical skills with experience in metrics measurement and reporting
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail
• Proficiency with event management tools, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot), and marketing automation platforms
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in creating promotional and follow-up content
• Ability to collaborate across teams and external partners effectively
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects
• Interest or experience in data streaming, open-source software, or SaaS is a plus
