Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a Senior Facilities Automation Engineer to lead SCADA, PLC, and BMS/EMS programs inside our manufacturing facilities in Spain. You will drive system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, IT/OT, and Operations to ensure reliability and compliance.

Candidates should have a engineering degree and at least five years in a manufacturing setting with facilities experience, including GMP validation and change-control processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years experience in manufacturing environment with facilities and building systems.
• Experience in leading SCADA, PLC automation, and Building Management Systems (BMS/EMS).
• Experience driving automation system upgrades, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle improvements, including GMP validation and change-control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SCADA, PLC automation, and Building Management Systems (BMS/EMS) in facilities and utilities.
• Drive automation upgrades, troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle improvements with GMP validation and change-control.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, IT/OT, vendors, and Operations to resolve automation and controls issues.
• Support reliability and continuous improvement through alarms, trends, monitoring, and equipment performance data.
• Lead project initiatives including validation requirements and preventive maintenance programs.
• Oversee lifecycle management of building systems and equipment and recommend improvements.
