Evoke is a leading operator in the gambling industry, dedicated to ensuring a secure and fair environment for our customers and a fully compliant operation, aligned with all regulatory requirements. As part of our growth and commitment to excellence, we are enhancing our operations in Ceuta, focusing on the Spanish and Southern markets.

Position Overview :

We are looking for candidates based in or prepared to relocate to Ceuta, with occasional expectation to travel and allowance for spending time in Spain. We seek a seasoned Head of AML to lead our AML operations in the Southern Markets region. This role is critical to ensuring compliance and maintaining good relationships with the AML regulator in Spain and other markets. Responsibilities include setting the AML strategy, active daily involvement in AML operations, customer case reviews, and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports.

The successful candidate will act as the SEPBLAC Representative, involving registration with the Spanish AML Regulator, and will also serve as a Company Director for two Spanish entities. Relocation packages are available for candidates willing to live and work in Ceuta.

Key Responsibilities :

• Strategic Oversight : Provide oversight of the AML and CTF programmes in Spain and Southern markets, ensuring risks align with evoke’s risk appetite and management framework.
• Governance and AML Risk Management : Lead development and maintenance of AML policies, procedures, and processes, proactively enhancing our AML framework.
• Company Representation : Represent the company before regulators such as SEPBLAC and DGOJ, acting as a Company Director of Spanish entities as required.
• Monitoring and Reporting : Develop monitoring reports, including key risk indicators, and present AML reports to senior management and the board.
• Second Line Review : Conduct independent reviews and audits of KYC and CDD operations, ensuring effective risk mitigation measures.
• Advisory and Challenge Role : Serve as a key advisor on emerging AML risks, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with internal teams and external regulators to ensure coordinated AML risk management.
• Regulatory Compliance and Assurance : Ensure AML frameworks comply with regulations and internal policies, providing independent assurance.
• Training and Awareness : Support AML training programs to promote a strong AML culture.

Job Requirements :

• Degree in AML / Compliance or relevant professional certification (CAMS, ICE) preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in AML roles and supervisory / management positions.
• Knowledge of Spanish AML laws and regulations mandatory; familiarity with Italy and Portugal is a plus.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Spanish is required; Portuguese and Italian are beneficial.
• Resident or willing to relocate to Ceuta; relocation package provided.
