About the role

A large multi-year programme is currently underway to implement a new finance platform using a market leading EPM solution, OneStream. This will cater for a large amount of finance use cases including reporting, planning, budgeting, technical forecasting, reconciliations and tax. This position offers a significant opportunity for an experienced developer with expertise in enterprise performance management (EPM) platforms. This is a role in a “quality-first“ environment and will involve responsibilities across analysis, design and development for OneStream applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with business customers to understand their business requirements.
2. Interpret, solution design and correctly implement business requirements.
3. Providing application support for built solutions.
4. Provide estimates of work to assist in project planning activity.
5. Design low-maintenance, sustainable and scalable software solutions to meet business requirements.
6. Reduce technical debt where appropriate.
7. Liaise with peer system owners to ensure any impacts are properly understood, documented, and mitigated against from an up and downstream perspective.
8. Build solutions using established industry best practices, technologies, and standards.
9. Support business users through User Acceptance Testing.
10. Deploy solutions with care and contingency in mind.
11. Release Management, Runbook and Hypercare support/planning.
12. Collaborate with IT colleagues from Architecture, Infrastructure, Business Analysis, Test and Digital Operations.
13. Accurately document technical designs, constraints and code base to facilitate knowledge repository, cross training and impact assessments.
14. Ensure compliance with all organisational, legal, regulatory and department standards including SOX compliance and Security.
15. Become a OneStream expert through project work, continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in OneStream.

What is expected of you:

Educational / Experience

1. A degree in Finance, Business & Economics, Information Management or other related field.
2. 5+ years professional development and/or consultant experience with a multi-dimensional EPM platform.
3. Strong understanding of enterprise performance management (EPM) concepts, financial planning, budgeting, consolidation, and reporting processes.
4. Knowledge of the full SDLC.
5. Experience working in an Agile development environment is desirable.
6. Must be a Self-Starter, exhibit intellectual curiosity and keen to constantly improve and make the team more efficient in delivering value to the business.
7. Must be able to take initiative and work independently while maintaining strong team relations.
8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Technical / Functional

1. Essential experience with multi-dimensional platforms (TM1, Oracle, SAP, OneStream, Tagetik, Adaptive).
2. Experience with VBA, VB.net, Visual Basic, or any object-oriented programming.
3. Excellent knowledge of Excel.
4. Good understanding of version control software (branching, merging etc.).
5. Excellent time and work management skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
