Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Senior Storage Advisory Expert to deliver high-impact renewables advisory across EMEA, engaging leading developers, investors and lenders. You will lead due diligence on energy storage, solar and hybrid portfolios and contribute to project financing decisions.

The role is hybrid from Barcelona, Pamplona, Milan, Warsaw or Dubai, or fully remote from the Netherlands, Germany or Italy, with mentoring duties and a focus on growing our advisory capabilities in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years in energy storage or related advisory environments.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and reviewing contracts/financial models.
• Strong understanding of project finance, risk assessment, and bankability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with European energy storage market regulations and policies.
• Fluent English; additional local language for country of application preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex due diligence across storage, solar, and hybrid portfolios.
• Review contracts, financial models, and technical docs to identify risks.
• Prepare tailored proposals aligned with client needs and market standards.
• Build client relationships; act as primary project contact.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to growth in region and internal tool development.
• Travel up to 15% for meetings and industry events.
