Hamilton Barnes is seeking an Electrical Construction Project Manager in Badajoz to lead the delivery of power infrastructure for large-scale data center deployments across Spain. You will manage HV/MV substations, transformers, switchgear, grid connections and associated civil works, coordinating utilities, EPCs and suppliers to energise critical GPU clusters.

The role requires 8–10+ years in project delivery within power infrastructure, a degree in Electrical/Industrial/Energy engineering, and

• Strong technical understanding of HV/MV power infrastructure and grids.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, utilities and equipment manufacturers.
• Proven track record delivering large electrical packages from procurement to energisation.
• Ability to interpret and challenge single-line diagrams and substation layouts.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end delivery of power infrastructure for data center projects.
• Manage grid connection works, substations, transformers and switchgear.
• Develop delivery strategies: scope, procurement, contracting and milestones.
• Coordinate utilities, EPCs, engineering consultants, and suppliers.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, testing and energisation activities.
• Control scope, cost, schedule, risk, and contractor performance.
• Monitor critical paths and long-lead equipment with mitigation plans.
• Support tendering, contractor selection, and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate permitting and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure HSE and quality during HV construction and energisation.
• Lead energisation readiness, including testing and approvals.
• Coordinate interfaces with wider data center electrical systems.
• Oversee project completion, handover and operational readiness.
