Job summary

Esteyco is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of LV, MV and HV electrical systems for renewable generation assets, including substations and grid interfaces. The role acts as Technical Lead for a team and collaborates with international project teams.

The candidate should have 12–15 years in electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in renewables (wind, solar, BESS) and protection/control studies. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and 12–15 years of relevant professional experience in electrical engineering.
• Proven experience as technical lead, with responsibility for workload, mentoring and quality of deliverables.
• Extensive hands-on design experience for renewable generation, substations, overhead lines and grid connection.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV/HV electrical systems and their interfaces with grid operators and construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical systems for renewable generation assets from concept through detailed engineering.
• Design and review substations, overhead lines, underground cables and grid connection infrastructure.
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams, layouts, protection and control philosophies, and relay settings.
• Coordinate interfaces with civil, structural, environmental and SCADA teams; support proposals and client discussions.
