About the Role

The Lancet Regional Health – Europe is an Open Access journal under The Lancet’s global health initiative, focusing on improving healthcare quality and access globally. You will work with Senior Editors and the Editor-in-Chief on journal preparation, collaborating with authors and editorial teams.

Responsibilities

• Contributing critically to the selection of journal content.
• Identifying experts for peer review on submissions.
• Writing editorials, organizing peer reviews, and conducting webinars and podcasts with authors and key opinion leaders.
• Commissioning content to enhance the journal’s profile and handling special projects like Series and Commissions.
• Developing links with regional health communities to solicit research and thought leadership.
• Attending conferences, identifying topics and authors, and staying updated on regional health developments.

Requirements

• Qualifications in clinical or biomedical science, public health, global health, or related fields. An MD or PhD with post-doc research experience is advantageous.
• Experience working globally and engaging with diverse colleagues.
• Alignment with The Lancet’s values and a proactive attitude.
• Strong collaboration skills and stakeholder engagement abilities.
