Scopely is looking for a Senior Director of Production to join our team remotely from Spain, the UK, or Ireland.

What You Will Do

As Senior Director of Production, you will spearhead our production efforts, ensuring our projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, meeting both quality and budget targets. You will be pivotal in translating the company’s strategic vision into operational plans and guiding your team through the complexities of game development cycles.

• Strategic Leadership : In partnership with the Product Director, translate long-term product vision and objectives into a clear operation and action plan. Ensure that project goals, timelines, and deliverables are clearly communicated and understood across departments.
• Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the primary production contact for internal stakeholders and external partners. Ensure that all parties are regularly informed about project status, milestones, and adjustments.
• Risk Management : Proactively identify potential risks in the production process and develop mitigation strategies. Regularly review and adjust plans to navigate evolving project scopes and external dependencies. Identify major gaps in current workflows and foundational challenges in how the team operates, directing leads in addressing complex issues.
• Team Management : Build, mentor, and lead a team of production and coordinators, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment. Promote professional growth through targeted training and mentorship.
• Product and Production Partnership : Ensure alignment between development partners and creative / product leadership to achieve business goals, supporting and validating plans throughout the journey.
• Set the Quality Bar : Create a culture where production is a “force multiplier” – setting standards for quality, supporting the team to produce tangible outcomes, and facilitating efforts to meet goals.

• Extensive experience leading and managing cross-functional teams that have successfully released mobile, PC, and console games, achieving or surpassing set goals.
• Exceptional team leadership skills, inspiring high-performing teams.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to manage both long-term and short-term objectives.
• Solid understanding of project management and software development methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and influence stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for excellence and innovation in production.
• Experience working with internal and external development teams, including distributed teams.
