Job summary

Iren Group is recruiting a Corporate Finance Director in Madrid to drive the company’s finance strategy, oversee debt financing, M&A activities, capital allocation, and investor relations. The role partners with senior leadership to optimize capital structure and create long-term value.

The candidate will lead a team, manage relationships with lenders and investors, and contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is a plus.
• 15–20 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, PE, or infra funds.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate financing transactions including debt financing and capital raising.
• Oversee M&A, JVs, divestments, and strategic investments.
• Develop and manage capital structure, liquidity strategy, and financing plans.
• Lead financial modeling, valuation analyses, and investment decisions.
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, and rating agencies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation decisions.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and advise senior management.
• Lead and develop the Corporate Finance team.
